Who we are

Hey, you can actually do this.

That is the whole company in one line. Everything below is us explaining what we mean by it, and what we are willing to be held to.

Our mission

Help people leave the work they tolerate and build work they own, one clear step at a time, with plain-language guides and do-the-work tools that run in the apps they already have.

Our vision

A world where choosing yourself is a normal, doable career path instead of a terrifying leap. Where anyone with a skill and the willingness to start has the map, the tools, and the nerve to run a business of one.

Where we show up

The scariest part is before you start.

The kitchen table, the blank page, the folder of ideas that never got opened. That is where we meet you, because that is where everyone actually is. Not fearless. Just ready for one small move you can make today.

What we stand on

Five values. We design around them, and we do not contradict them.

  1. 01

    The friendly shove

We show up at the scariest part, before you start, and turn the fear into a move you can make today. We sell momentum, not hustle. You do not need to be fearless. You need to be in motion.

  2. 02

    Plain over polished

No jargon, no guru-speak, no MBA fog. Every idea gets translated into something you can run this week. If a regular person cannot follow it, we rewrite it.

  3. 03

Own your business, do not rent it

One-time purchases. No subscriptions. Tools that run in Excel, Google Sheets, or Notion, apps you already know. Your data stays on your machine. The business you build belongs to you.

  4. 04

    Honesty is the proof

Real numbers, real screenshots, real trade-offs. We are a candid operator, not a hype machine. We will never promise you a result nobody can guarantee.

  5. 05

The whole journey, one step at a time

We cover the entire life of a business of one, but we never dump it on you at once. One stage, one outcome, one next step.

Plain over polished

If a regular person cannot follow it, we rewrite it.

No jargon, no guru-speak, no MBA fog. Every idea in every playbook gets translated into a move you can run this week, on paper if you like. Plain beats clever. Always.

Who this is for

One person, three versions of them.

We build for the business of one: the freelancer, the consultant, the solo founder, and the person still sitting in a job they have outgrown with a folder of ideas they have never started. Designers, writers, developers, VAs, bookkeepers, photographers, coaches. People who get paid by clients for a skill.

We are honest about who we are not for. If you sell products at a market stall or run a retail shop, our toolkit solves problems you do not have. We would rather tell you that than take your money.

Own it, do not rent it

The business you build should belong to you.

One payment, no subscriptions. Tools that run in Excel, Google Sheets, or Notion, on your machine, with your data staying yours. If we disappeared tomorrow, everything you bought from us would keep working.

The manifesto

What we believe, with nothing hedged.

  • The scariest part is before you start, so that is where we show up.
  • You do not need to be fearless. You need to be in motion.
  • An idea is just a guess until someone pays you.
  • You should own your business, not rent it.
  • Plain beats clever. Always.
  • We show the real numbers, even the unimpressive ones.
  • Delivery is your real marketing.
  • Small, finished, and shipped beats big, perfect, and someday.
  • Paperwork is just peace of mind.
  • You can do this. Hey, really.
Honesty is the proof

Real numbers, even the unimpressive ones.

We are a candid operator, not a hype machine. We show what worked and what did not, and we will never promise you a result nobody can guarantee. If that costs us a sale, fine. It is the trade we chose.

How we measure ourselves

Not revenue. First dollars.

The number that matters to us is how many people tell us they made their first dollar using Hey Workshop. Not how many followers we have, not what we made this month. If our stuff does not turn into someone else's first sale, it did not work, however well it sold.

If that happens for you, tell us. We want the story more than the review.

The moment we work for

Somebody’s first dollar.

Not a launch, not a milestone chart, not ten thousand followers. One real person paying you for the thing you made. That moment is the entire company. Everything we build is aimed at getting you there, and then past it.
